Answers to the most frequently asked questions
How does Hydraloop work?
Hydraloop gives used water from showers, baths, washing machines and air conditioning a second life. Using a smart combination of six treatment technologies without filters or chemicals. Hydraloop cleans and purifies the water so it’s safe for reuse.
You can then use it for flushing toilets, laundry, the garden or a swimming pool (but not for drinking).
The system runs automatically, requires very little maintenance, and only needs some preparatory plumbing. This makes it easy to save up to 45% on drinking water consumption while also reducing wastewater all without compromising comfort.
How much does a Hydraloop solution cost?
The price of a Hydraloop water recycler varies by region and project. To provide an accurate quote tailored to your specific situation, our team will be happy to contact you by email.
How does Hydraloop installation work?
Installation starts with preparing the building. Following the Recycle Ready guidelines, the plumbing is adapted so that all greywater can be properly collected. An installer checks everything in advance using a checklist.
The unit is then placed indoors in a garage, utility room or technical space and connected to the greywater pipes, a backup water source (tap or rainwater), electricity and internet.
The system is also connected to the sewer to safely discharge residues during the cleaning process and manage any overflow. The clean, recycled water is distributed through separate pipes to toilets, washing machines, the garden or a pool.
If the building is properly prepared, installation takes around 2–4 hours. The unit only requires a standard power connection, internet access and a floor that can support its filled weight.
Installation must be carried out by a certified Hydraloop installer to ensure warranty and proper operation.
How much can I save with Hydraloop?
A Hydraloop system can save up to 45% of your total water consumption by reusing water from showers, baths and washing machines. This treated water is ideal for applications that don’t require drinking water, such as toilet flushing, garden irrigation or laundry.
Is Hydraloop better than a rainwater system?
Hydraloop and rainwater harvesting each serve their own purpose and complement each other perfectly. Hydraloop recycles greywater from showers, baths, washing machines and air-conditioning condensate into safe reusable water for toilets, laundry, gardens or pools.
Rainwater systems allow you to collect rainwater for uses like garden watering or car washing but they depend on weather conditions. On average, rainwater systems are empty 3 to 4 months per year.
Hydraloop operates fully automatically, without filters or chemicals, and delivers certified water quality. That’s why many people combine Hydraloop with rainwater harvesting to reduce mains water use even further.
Hydraloop is a smart indoor solution that saves up to 45% of drinking water, and can easily be combined with rainwater storage for maximum, reliable water savings.
Does Hydraloop require maintenance?
Hydraloop requires very little maintenance. There are no filters or membranes to replace, and usually one or two simple checks or cleanings per year are sufficient. The system continuously monitors itself and sends alerts via the app if anything needs attention. If maintenance is required, a certified technician can handle it. In short: Hydraloop is designed to run almost fully automatically, without hassle.
Is there a warranty on Hydraloop?
Hydraloop systems come with a warranty; the exact terms are provided with your quote or by a product specialist. Installation by a certified Hydraloop installer is required to maintain warranty coverage. The systems are built to last at least 20 years and are monitored 24/7 via the Hydraloop app for performance and safety.
